The state budget is increasingly benefiting from the strong rise in prices while the latter for months are hitting on the other hand the pockets of citizens.
Only for the 4-month period, about 187.8 billion ALL revenues have entered the state coffers.
Compared to the same period a year ago, revenues have increased by over ALL 35.7 billion, or almost EUR 294 million.
Both taxes and customs have collected more money during this period. The biggest impact on the positive performance of receipts was given by the Value Added Tax, the so-called consumption tax, which also bears the main weight from the increase in prices in the first half of this year.
Significant increase in the report in the quarter of last year was also marked by the income collected from social contributions, personal income tax and profit tax.
In terms of customs, more revenues were collected from excise goods by over 123 million euros and customs duties by almost 20 million euros, marking a slight increase compared to January-April 2021.
The same trend has been followed by budget expenditures that this period reached 168.5 billion ALL, about 6 million euros higher than compared to the same period a year ago.
The increase has come both in the item of capital expenditures money that goes mainly for investments, as well as in the current expenditures for staff, salaries and payment of social contributions.
