Moments of arrest of officials involved in the incinerators affair have been published.
The Special Prosecution charged 11 officials and former officials of the Ministry of Environment of the municipality of Elbasan, a businessman and two administrators of the incinerator in Fier.
Former SP MP, Alqi Bllako handed over the mandate of MP in the Assembly, waiving his immunity and facing justice as an ordinary citizen.
He is charged with “abuse of office” and “corruption”, while the GJKKO imposed the security measure “prison arrest”.
The investigation for this started after the criminal report of the Democratic Party, LSI and the Thurje Initiative and at the center of the investigation was the concession contract between the Ministry of Environment and the company “Integrated Technology Waste Treatment Fier”. Investigators say they have found illegal actions and corruption.
