Champion Luiza Gega showed this morning on “Wake Up” the emotions from the Mediterranean Games in Algeria, where she won the gold medal in the 3,000 meters race.
In the ‘live’ interview, Gega also commented on the embarrassing situation when, while receiving the medal, the wrong anthem was played in the background.
“I didn’t understand what was happening, the coach caught him directly and told me to go down. They are very big competitions and you don’t expect these things to happen to you. And on the certificate I received it was written that I was from Cyprus, not from Albania”.
But does the athlete doubt that such a mistake was intentional?
“I didn’t expect it to happen, but I don’t believe it was on purpose. I thought about it, but I don’t want to believe it.” says Gega.
The red and black athlete Luiza Gega had an excellent race at the Mediterranean Games. From the start, she led the race, never doubting her victory. Even from lap to lap, she deepened the distance from her followers, leaving them almost 50 meters behind.
The victory of the gold medal in the Mediterranean Games of Orani by the athlete Luiza Gega, neither later nor more, is a confirmation of her sports skills, which even four years ago won the gold medal in the Mediterranean Games of Tarragona in Spain.
