Fourteen people died Friday after a Mexican navy helicopter crashed in Sinaloa.
Mexico’s navy said the Black Hawk helicopter crashed in the coastal city of Los Mochis, but it is not yet clear what happened, but the incident is suspected to be related to the arrest of drug lord Rafael Cara Quintero.
Quintero was on a list of ten fugitives wanted by the FBI for the kidnapping, torture and murder of US Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) special agent Enrique Kiki Camarena in Mexico in 1985.
Fifteen people were transported as a result of the crash, 14 of whom died, the Navy said. The survivor is receiving medical attention.
