Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov has urged citizens tonight to resume work as the city’s economy needs to revive.
He has insisted that all businesses start work even though it might have been impossible for them to return at full capacity immediately.
“In recent weeks the government has significantly simplified the rules for doing business and drastically reduced tax rates, so from today, I urge you to gradually return to work.” tha Terekhov
The mayor added that 1,531 civilian infrastructure facilities have been destroyed in Kharkiv since February 24, along with 1,292 residential buildings, 70 schools and 16 hospitals.
Fighting has been intense in and around the city in recent days.
