England’s number one goalkeeper, Jordan Pickford, is learned to be at the center of a police investigation, after it became the cause of a massive fight on Sunday, in a “pub”, in South Tyneside.
The 27-year-old, sources say, was mocked for “his little arms”, which has led to the harsh reaction of his friends, which caused a big mess in East Boldon. As a result of the quarrel, one man was left with a broken nose and another had his phone destroyed, as he was filming the incident.
Police are investigating and looking for witnesses, but, as detailed in The Sun’s report on the incident, there is no indication that the Everton goalkeeper attacked anyone. Police rushed to the scene around 9pm, but Pickford and his group had left in a minibus.
One witness said: “All I heard was ‘little arm’ and the quarrel started immediately. It happened as soon as they got inside. They did not even have time to drink something. One boy suffered a broken nose. Pickford was not injured at all. He walked out the door as soon as he started. Pickford’s group left in a minibus before police arrived. So far no arrests have been made for this incident.
