A fierce fire broke out in a money printing factory this morning in France.
The fire had started in a “restricted access” areas of the factory, wrote the local daily Le Bien Public.
About 400 people were evacuated as about 70 firefighters were working to put out the blaze as of 10am
Twenty-four people are believed to have been slightly injured and four were taken to hospital, including two firefighters, according to a prefecture report.
By noon authorities said the fire had been brought under control.
They added that ‘consequently there will be consequences in production’ but said the incident would not turn into a serious matter.
“We will have to take certain measures for the situation… but it could have gone even worse,” said factory director Pierre-Yves Boissinot.
The cause of the fire is still unknown and investigations have begun.
