Mariupol like Bucha, troops on the streets: They went for documents, they were killed by snipers

The images from Mariupol come at a time when the United Nations has confirmed that it is verifying hundreds of allegations of civilian killings during the unprovoked Russian occupation.

The port city has been the scene of bloody fighting between Russian and Ukrainian forces for weeks.

The BBC confirmed the locations where the bodies were found in Mariupol, which occurred on Boika Street. According to the interviewees, some of the victims were going to get their work documents and were killed by snipers, who targeted those who were crossing the street.

Earlier, Ukrainian officials said satellite imagery from an area near Mariupol with piles of soil showed that there were new mass graves. The war showed no signs of easing on Friday, as Russia hit targets in eastern Ukraine in a new offensive to seize the country’s industrial center.

In Geneva, the United Nations human rights office said there was growing evidence that Russia had committed war crimes in Ukraine.

“Russian armed forces have indiscriminately hit grenades and indiscriminately bombed populated areas, killing civilians and destroying hospitals, schools and other civilian infrastructure, actions that could constitute war crimes.Said Michelle Bachelet, UN High Commissioner for Human Rights.
