Announcing the latest decision of the government, the Minister of Health and Social Protection Ogerta Manastirliu said that this commission is constituted next week.
“The Special Commission is set up in function of the new law approved for ‘Children in the Care of the Republic’, to implement this law. This Central Commission, composed of representatives of ministries and organizations that protect the rights of children, will begin work immediately in implementation of this law. It is a law that supports children in many dimensions, in the full package of financial assistance, with the maximum salary of the parent who has lost his life in the line of duty by self-sacrifice, providing the child with social support, education and care in all aspects “, Declared Manastirliu.
‘Children in the Care of the Republic’ will benefit: The full monthly salary of the parent for the only child; 140% of salary when the parent has left behind two children; 150% of salary when orphaned children are three; 160% of the parent’s salary when there are four children in the family who have lost a parent, and so on. In addition to financial treatment, these children will have support for education, employment, social protection and public and private health care. Free health care will be fully guaranteed not only in public structures, but also in private structures or abroad, when necessary. Children in the care of the Republic will also benefit from the scholarship for attending pre-university education in public educational institutions and textbooks free schooling.
Minister Manastirliu also announced another government decision to improve the current evaluation system for people with disabilities.
“After piloting the reform for several years, for a bio-psycho-social assessment of people with disabilities, according to the standards of the World Health Organization for the classification of diseases, we will now extend this reform to all 12 counties. This new decision makes it possible to establish evaluation commissions for each region, bringing services to citizens with multidisciplinary commissions composed of doctors, social workers, through a new procedure of an evaluation not only of medical, but also of social aspects. and other aspects that affect these categories that need to receive services from the state “, said Manastirliu.
Currently the new disability assessment reform is spread over three counties and is expected to be extended to the whole country.
