The violent winter storm that hit northern Europe this weekend has caused several casualties, destroyed homes and cars, closed bridges and brought massive floodwaters, leaving thousands without electricity.
Heavy rain and snow fell in Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden.
A 78-year-old woman in Denmark died just because she opened the stable door and the strong winds blew her away. During the collision, the old woman received numerous injuries, which she could not survive.
A 9-year-old boy was killed in Staffordshire, England by the fall of a tree.
Trees falling from the fury of the winds that reached speeds of 160 km per hour, took the life of a 60-year-old in Scotland. Near Berlin, a man was killed by a billboard that the wind had blown out of place.
The floods in many parts of Denmark caused great material damage. The felled trees also blocked traffic in many areas.
The south of Sweden was also hit hard as the ferry voyage to the island of Gotland was suspended. Damaged homes, cars and boats were also reported in Norway.
In Finland, there were also road collapses, which blocked the movement of vehicles in some parts of the country.
