For the second time this season a Lyon’s football match has been canceled by fan riots.
Lyomn’s match against the modest team of Paris FC was canceled yesterday after dangerous incidents on the stadium stairs, officials announced.
Shortly before the start of the second half at the small stadium in Paris, fireworks were exchanged between the fans of both teams.
Security staff and police rushed towards the groups of spectators but the spectators were forced to go down to the field, preventing the resumption of the match.
Ten minutes after the delay the authorities announced that the parties had agreed to cancel the event.
The French football season has been marked this year by several incidents with fans.
The Lyon team has been ordered to play two closed-door matches this year and was deducted points when its fans caused an incident in the clash with Marseille on 21 November.
