The wife of Prime Minister Edi Rama has sent a message to the wife of the President of Ukraine, Olana Zelenskyy.
“We are with you, until the end”, Linda Rama emphasizes, in her message.
“Dear Olena, I, my family and the entire Albanian people are experiencing with great pain the tragedy of the country and your people. Albanians can well understand what is happening there. Today we know that democracy belongs to free peoples, while you, Ukrainians, are reminding the free world that this belonging has a price, which can be as high as life itself. Your people have given so much to the world, in history, culture and economy“, Writes Rama.
She emphasizes that the people of Ukraine today are giving the whole free world a message of awakening to its memory threatened by historical amnesia, a message of understanding for universal values endangered by geopolitical interests and a message of salvation for its hostage future out of fear, adding that this is an example of resistance not to fall into the traps of the past, a call to live with the pulse of time, with the challenges and dreams of the future in the world that unites us.
