During his speech from the rostrum of the Assembly, former Prime Minister Sali Berisha stated that the Russian Embassy in Tirana has sent a threatening and offensive letter to the country.
Berisha accuses Prime Minister Edi Rama of keeping silent about this threat.
“I want to condemn here the threatening letter of the Russian embassy in Tirana to Albania and I want to emphasize that the letter is an insult and a threat to every Albanian and is a consequence of the capitulation of Belgrade’s mercenary in Tirana, Rama. In the face of a primitive, unprecedented blackmail that Europe is facing today, Russia is surpassing as a force of evil any threatening force known to history. Threatens to use nuclear weapons against free countries, invade a neighboring country. To try to destroy NATO and the only country that has remained silent like a weed against this blackmail is a NATO member country. “Parliament must urgently vote on a resolution expressing solidarity with Ukraine.”
But his statement came after he got the word for retort. This brought an intervention of the Deputy Speaker of the Assembly Ermonela Felaj who asked Berisha to sit down and wait his turn!
