This was the situation only a few months ago of the famous battlefield of Mashkullore near Gjirokastra, where the squad of Cerciz Topulli and Mihal Grameno on March 18, 1908 faced the Ottoman army, an event that is also reflected in the movie “Freedom or Death”.
Although such a historic site should have been in the attention of the Ministry of Culture, in fact it was the initiative of journalist Marin Mema that changed everything. Where there was nothing was born this true complex commemorating this war.
It is enough to go to the end honestly to such an investment and no endless funds are needed. All this investment has cost only 2.1 million ALL. Now imagine everyone how much work could be done if all the funds go properly, where they should.
Journalist Mema thanked all the donors who made possible the realization of this extraordinary project. The inauguration ceremony was attended by residents of the village of Mashkullore, but also visitors from different areas of Albanian lands.
