The Durrës Chamber of Advocates returns to the boycott of court hearings.
The 244-member chamber decided today to boycott court hearings, including security measures, on June 27, 28 and 29.
Lawyers in several cities of the country have announced the continuation of the boycott for court hearings due to the lack of response to their requests regarding the new court map.
They have opposed this new project as unfounded in local specifics and as a superficial project that would only increase the costs of justice workers, unbalance the economic chain and oust law experts and lawyers.
According to the new court map, only the courts of first instance in each regional center will remain active and every other level of the judiciary will be moved to Tirana, while a second administrative court in Lushnja is planned in function of the South of the country.
