The body of Yasmin Cavalerio de Macedo was found floating in the Maguari River in the Brazilian state of Para, a day after she was reported missing during a boat cruise on the river.
On the afternoon of her disappearance, the victim had shared a series of photos and videos on social networks, which she had taken while sailing with her mother.
The tragic model then spoke on the phone with her mother around 22.00 but disappeared about an hour later.
Her terrified mother had gone to the area to help search teams but the body of the tragic girl was only found the next morning.
“All measures are being taken for the case, including the autopsy that will determine the cause of death,” a police statement said.
One of the theories of the event is the fall from the boat, but the authorities did not say how many people were traveling on the cruise or whether or not they had life jackets.
In her videos, the 21-year-old is seen posing in a bikini during a sunny afternoon on the boat.
Other views show the beautiful Maguari River to the west, with light music playing in the background.
Investigations into the mysterious death continue.
