Following the mediation of the electricity agreement, the European Union envoy for the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue, Miroslav Lajcak, is staying in Kosovo.
He started his visit with a closed meeting with the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, where he was later told that the dialogue and the roadmap for the implementation of energy agreements were discussed. The Office of the Prime Minister says that before Lajçak, the chief executive expressed his readiness to implement this guide.
Meanwhile, Lajçak stated a few days ago that injustices were being done to the Western Balkans, so the issue of visa liberalization was expected to be discussed, but this was not confirmed by either party.
However, disappointment from the European Union is evident in Kosovo. The Alliance for the Future of Kosovo says it expects nothing from the EU envoy’s visit and demands a discussion with the Government on the visa issue.
They demand the same through an action from the Social Democratic Party, adding that the dialogue with Miroslav Lajçak as mediator does not lead to a fair agreement.
The EU Envoy for the Western Balkans will stay in Kosovo for three days, where he will also meet with opposition party leaders and international representatives, as well as visit Prizren and the North of the country.
