The EU Special Envoy for the Kosovo-Serbia Dialogue, Miroslav Lajcak, said that the leader of the Vetëvendosje Movement, Albin Kurti, knew that the European Union and the international community were waiting for the dialogue to continue and that this was nothing new.
In an exclusive interview with RTK, Lajcak, among other things, said that the dialogue for the formalization of Kosovo-Serbia relations is important.
“One of the reasons why I am visiting the region this time is to meet with Albin Kurti, to hear about his plans, including the dialogue, and also to convey to him the messages and expectations of the EU and member states and to talk together as take the dialogue further. Kurti knows that the European Union and the international community look forward to continuing the dialogue, and this is nothing new for him. There is no government that deals only with one issue. This is exactly what we will discuss, how to set priorities. We already have an experience with Kurti as prime minister. And he was a constructive interlocutor. Above all, it was he who lifted the tariffs and enabled the launch of the dialogue. Cooperation on health issues also demonstrated a high level of constructive approach. Therefore, there is no need to create sensations where there is no place “, said the Slovak diplomat, who today started his three-day visit to Kosovo.
