The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, at the meeting of the General Council of his party, announced that Kosovo is preparing for application to NATO and the European Union.
He also said that Kosovo’s application to the Council of Europe and membership is one more opportunity for Kosovo.
“Our membership in this institution is an added value for the Council and an opportunity for Kosovo to make even greater progress in the field of human rights, democracy and the rule of law. “We are also making preparations for membership in the NATO Partnership and Peace Program and will apply for membership in the European Union.” said Kurti.
Kosovo applied on May 12, for membership in the Council of Europe.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Kurti said that one year of government has been quite challenging, mentioning the pandemic, energy crisis, Russian aggression in Ukraine and many other issues, but that during this year, in addition to challenges, progress has been made in several areas.
