“We are a democratic state, our constitution protects freedom of expression and free speech, just as it protects freedom. Rally and protest. Because our fight for freedom was not only a fight to be liberated from occupation but also to live free. So we have fought to protect the right of everyone to express her and his views even when we do not agree with them. And yet to move forward we need a practical thought and not just a critical one. We need to agree and find consensus on the most basic things[…]that is, unity which does not make criticism impossible and criticism that does not ride on unity “, said Kurti.
And the Speaker of the Assembly, Glauk Konjufca, intervenes as the deputies made noise to oppose Kurti’s speech.
“Please behave with dignity, it is the day of independence”, said Konjufca.
