The court of Kukës decided to release this Saturday from prison the Albanian Burim Duraku, who is accused of the criminal offense “Premeditated Murder in Cooperation”.
Burim Duraku was arrested in Kukës on 20.12.2019 after being wanted by the Greek justice.
According to Anila Hoxha’s sources who confirmed this court decision, Duraku is suspected of killing the citizen Artemis Vasilopou in Greece in May 2010.
According to local authorities, the event took place in a place called Argostoli in Kefalonia, Greece, where Duraku, in cooperation with the citizen Sh. D., disguised have entered the private residence of the Greek citizen.
After trying unsuccessfully to open the door between the kitchen and the living room with a sharp tool, which was locked, they broke the door and went inside.
There they found the Greek citizen AV, whose hands and feet were tied with adhesive tape. They then tore a piece of his jacket with a knife and wrapped it with adhesive tape, suffocating him, and then put a plastic bag on his head, and as a result of asphyxiation, she died.
These two citizens then stole a lot of money and some valuables from the victim.
