For three months, poultry farms have been on the biosafety measure due to the risk of bird flu.
Farmers say they are adhering to a detailed protection protocol.
According to the chairman of egg producers in Kosovo, Sabit Rama, there is a risk that the disease is transmitted from Albania, but that imports are low from the neighboring country.
Currently in Kosovo there are no active cases of bird flu, while the Food and Veterinary Agency adds that the necessary protocols have been put in place.
The last case registered in Kosovo with bird flu was in February and immediately according to the FVA the farm was quarantined and the chickens were destroyed.
On Monday, the Kosovo Food and Veterinary Agency banned the import of live poultry from areas affected by the disease in Albania
