Buses with Serbian citizens started today from the north of Mitrovica to Serbia, to vote in the Serbian referendum on constitutional changes, creating traffic.
Kosovo Serbs will be able to exercise their right to vote at polling stations in Kurshumli, Novi Pazar, Raska and Vranje.
The travel of Serbian citizens by bus to these places has caused long queues at the border crossings in Jarinje and Merdare.
According to the latest data published by the National Center for Border Management, it is reported that at the exit of these two points the column is 100 to 200 meters long, and the waiting time is 15 to 60 minutes, according to the Telegraph.
During the day today in Mitrovica, Serbian citizens held a symbolic rally, where they opposed the decision of the state of Kosovo, that the Serbian referendum not be held there. After the rally, the head of the Serbian List, Goran Rakic, warned of reciprocity.
There were also gatherings of Serbs in several other municipalities, such as Gorazhdevc in Peja, Klina, Istog and several other cities.
All these rallies ended without incident. Increased forces of the Special Unit of the Kosovo Police are also seen in the north of the country. Their armored vehicles were seen near Zvecan, where they are closely monitoring the situation.
We recall that the Assembly of Kosovo yesterday adopted a resolution expressing opposition to holding elections in Kosovo for a referendum by Serbia on constitutional changes.
