The Working Groups of the Republic of Kosovo and Serbia for license plates have met again in Brussels to find a solution to this issue.
This was confirmed by the European Union’s special envoy for dialogue, Miroslav Lajcak, who wrote that the discussions brought more clarity regarding the permanent election.
“Delegations of experts from Kosovo and Serbia have arrived today in Brussels for the fourth meeting of the Working Group on license plates. The discussions brought more clarity about the options and possible outcomes. “I encourage the parties to continue working on possible options until the end of the deadline,” Lajcak wrote.
The issue of license plates increased tensions between Kosovo and Serbia last year, when official Pristina decided on reciprocity in the matter. Both countries agreed to apply the adhesives until the full resolution of the issue on which these working groups are engaged.
