Kosovo has also coordinated with other countries to sanction Russia. This Friday, the Government of the Republic of Kosovo imposed financial sanctions on the Russian Federation.
Sanctions include freezing the assets of banks, financial institutions and individuals, banning them from accessing financial markets and other restrictive measures targeting key Russian companies, elites and political actors.
The decision, according to Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti, came as the country aligned itself with European countries in condemning Russia’s attack on Ukraine, adding that Serbia does not do the same.
