This afternoon, 83.5 kilograms of drugs were seized, while seven people were arrested at the border crossing point in Hani i Elezit.
The three institutions held a press conference where it was said that 160 packages of heroin were inserted in 32 reflectors. The drugs were shipped to Turkey and the destination was Pristina.
A van and a Land Rover were also seized.
The seven detainees were detained for 48 hours by the decision of the prosecutor and are suspected of the criminal offenses of purchase and unauthorized distribution of narcotics. In addition to them, the police have announced a search for two other people.
The Minister of Internal Affairs, Xhelal Sveçla, congratulated the institutions for seizing the drugs.
