The Minister of Health, Rifat Latifi, said that although the situation with pandemics in Kosovo is stable and Kosovo stands in this aspect best in Europe, still he said that in the coming days some more measures will be tightened.
Latifi spoke to KTV warning of tightening measures to prevent further escalation of cases.
“We have an increasing number of cases, but it is small compared to other countries in the world. “In the coming days, I will tighten some more measures”, said Latifi. The Minister of Health has not ruled out the possibility of a new wave of COVID, as is happening in many countries around the world.
“It is very likely that we will face another wave like all other countries. An encouraging element is that Omicroni is not as dangerous form, compared to other previous forms. “Despite this, we must take all measures to be careful”, said Latifi.
He appealed for the mask to be worn and for all those who have not been vaccinated to be vaccinated. While he said that the tightening of measures will also depend on the epidemiological situation.
