The Ministry of Health in Kosovo has announced that on Friday, January 21, 2,943 new cases of coronavirus were registered, after testing 11,563 samples.
The positivity rate from the samples taken is 25.45 percent. One victim has been registered in the last 24 hours.
Health authorities have also reported that 317 people have recovered while 12,396 people are still active in the coronavirus.
As for vaccination, authorities have administered 4,467 new doses of the coronavirus vaccine.
So far, 799,939 people or about 44 percent have been immunized with two doses of the vaccine.
Kosovo launched its coronavirus vaccination campaign in March last year.
More than 1.7 million doses of the vaccine have been given since then.
Citizens in Kosovo can get vaccines from the companies: Pfizer / BioNTech and AstraZeneca.
The booster dose of the vaccine can be taken after three months of taking the second dose.
The Government of Kosovo is expected to adopt new measures to combat the coronavirus pandemic, following the increase in the number of cases of infection in this country.
