An exhibition entitled “Korça Kujton” was held in the city of Korça, dedicated to all the intellectuals of the region who were victims of the dictatorial regime. Many have been politically persecuted and intellectuals persecuted, exiled but only a few have been selected to be part of the exhibition as these intellectuals have been part of the dictator’s close circle.
Jonila Godole, director of the Institute for Democracy, Media and Culture, says that the purpose of this exhibition is to raise awareness of the younger generation, dictatorships can be repeated, democracy is fragile and this is shown by the war in Ukraine. On the other hand, it is stated that in Albania, unlike other countries, very little has been done for the politically persecuted.

On the other hand, Ylber Merdani, president of the association of the persecuted in Korça, suggests that these exhibitions are very important to remember the history and events of the past.
