March 5 this year marks the 24th anniversary of the start of the Jashari family’s three-day fighting with Serbian forces, and the beginning of the KLA Epopee.
To mark this day, the Kosovo Security Forces lined up and remembered the legendary commander “Adem Jashari”, in the barracks of this force that bears his name.
While the President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani and the Prime Minister Albin Kurti, in front of the KSF soldiers spoke about another danger that Kosovo currently has.
“Adem Jashari” barracks, this Saturday opened its doors to citizens in honor of the KLA Epopee. Meanwhile, the Assembly of Kosovo held a solemn session where the sacrifice of the Jashari Family was commemorated and honored.
On March 5, 6 and 7, 1998, the Jashari family was surrounded by Serb forces and fought for days until the heroic fall of its 59 members.
