Bulgaria’s parliament has confirmed Kiril Petkov as prime minister after his anti-corruption party, We Continue Change, reached a coalition agreement with three other factions.
In Parliament, 134 lawmakers voted in favor of Petkov, while 104 voted against. Parliament now votes on the structure and composition of the proposed Government.
This is the first regular government since the government of Prime Minister Boyko Borisov was ousted in April, amid public outrage over corruption.

In the November 14 election, We Continue Change won 67 seats in the 240-seat parliament, while former Prime Minister Borisov’s party, GERB, won 59 seats.
