The perpetrator of the murder of Taulant Beqiraj, Elton Hajnaj, is sentenced to 21 years while he is still on the run.
The court of Vlora found guilty in absentia the accused for the murder that took place on March 3, 2021. As it appears in these images, the victim Taulant Beqiraj was stopped by several people, one of whom shot with a gun. The main defendant was convicted of premeditated murder and unlawful possession of a firearm. Also, his 3 friends Hans Jonuzaj, Skerdjan Gabrani and Sali Zeneli, were sentenced to 6 years in prison each as supporters of the perpetrator. Zeneli is also on the run.

The victim was walking on the sidewalk while the perpetrator of the murder, got out of a vehicle, unmasked, and fired at Beqiraj, leaving him dead on the spot.
After the murder, the perpetrator left in a Ford car, and managed to leave, while after the pursuit, one of his friends Hansi Jonuzi was caught, while the other friend Skerdian Gabrani surrendered, being accompanied by the top channel team a few days later. Witnesses at the time testified that the murder took place after a dispute between the parties over a considerable amount of money that the victim owed to the perpetrators and that he refused to return.
