A photojournalist is the next victim of Russian attacks in Ukraine, which continue unabated on the 38th day.
Max Levin, a father of four, was killed in the Ukrainian capital, Kiev, according to local officials.
Levin disappeared on March 13 while on duty, while his body was found yesterday in the village of Huta-Mezhyhirska, reports Sky News.
The chief photographer said he was accompanied by another journalist, Alexei Chernyshov.
So far there is no information on the location and health condition of the journalist.
On March 23, journalist Oksana Baulina was killed in Kiev while filming the destruction after Russian troops bombed Kiev’s Podolsk district.
Earlier, on March 13, former New York Times reporter Brent Renaud was killed by Russians in Irpin, while two other journalists who were with him were injured.
This shows that Russian attacks have not spared journalists, cameramen and photojournalists on the ground.
Our good friend, famous war photographer Maks Levin, is dead.
He went missing during the Battle of Kyiv on March 13.
Many in the community still had a hope of him being taken prisoner by the Russians.
Unfortunately, his body was recovered on April 1.
Rest in peace, friend. pic.twitter.com/oQOL7sZ5Ge– Illia Ponomarenko 🇺🇦 (@IAPonomarenko) April 2, 2022
