Ukrainian officials have condemned Russia’s missile attack on Kiev tonight, which occurred as UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres was wrapping up his visit to the Ukrainian capital.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said five missiles flew over Kiev while Guterres was concluding talks.
“Today, immediately after the end of our talks [me Guterres] in Kiev, Russian missiles flew into the city, 5 missiles. This shows a lot about Russia’s real attitude towards global institutions. In connection with the efforts of the Russian leadership to humiliate the UN and everything that the organization represents. It therefore requires an appropriate and robust response“, Said Zelensky, in the video message.
He also spoke about the attacks in Kiev, Fastiv, Odessa, Khmelnytskyi and other cities, which are evidence of a war that has been going on for months.
“Russian missile attacks on Ukraine in Kiev, Fastiv, Odessa, Khmelnytskyi and other cities prove once again that you can not relax yet, you can not think that the war is over. We still have to fight, we have to drive out the invaders“, Said Zelensky, according to CNN.
