Belind Këlliçi has sued Evi Kokalar for defamation, accusing him of manipulating the votes in the elections of the Presidency of the Democratic Party.
For many days, publicly, I have been attacked by Ms. Evis Kokalari, with more lynching language than that of our political opponents. Many of the most absurd accusations have been made against me, which remain in the mouth of Mrs. Kokalari and on her Facebook page.
Knowing inwardly the political situation in the Democratic Party and our difficult journey to emerge from the clashes of recent months, I have remained silent to give space to Ms. Kokalari to give voice to all the anger, jealousy and hatred for young people in the Democratic Party.
This attack is not sudden. It has been prepared since the time when in the Lectures initiated by Doctor Berisha, except Mrs. Kokalari, FRPD youth were positioned; among them me too.
I have chosen not to respond with “dazibao” accusations and Facebook comments, so today, in the court of the Tirana Judicial District, I filed a lawsuit against the person in question, for defamation, insults and phone messages distributed by her.
There is no muddy rain! It’s raining that makes the ground muddy, and Ms. Kokalari has made a mess of my person and the FRPD I lead, calling him a “clan” within the DP.
The mountain of politics, I Belind Këlliçi, I have climbed together with the youth of FRPD, in many door-to-door campaigns, hundreds and hundreds of protests against the government, and I will continue with them side by side like the first day.
These accusations do not give me at all the pain of the violence exercised against us by the police commissariats and they are not tear gas to shed tears from them, but I have experienced them all with a lot of sadness, but always within the political expectations.
Zj. Kokalari took time to hit me with some of the accusations and slanders used by the Socialists against me. It is no coincidence that these labels were first circulated by Erion Veliaj before and during the election campaign for the April 25 elections. I fight the mayor politically before and after the Foltore, while my accuser is publicly grateful for the readiness of her foundation!
Zj. Kokalari wants to be the model of conservatism in the Democratic Party. That’s her right.
I demand a Democratic Party for all, where members can express themselves freely, without fear of going through the lady’s sieve. Yes these are political opinions, which we can resolve without using hate speech against thinking differently and without undertaking lynching campaigns against each other, because Democrats are tired of the hassle.
Already Ms. Kokalari has the burden to prove in court every word she says against Belind Këlliç and FRPD. Bujrum to come and prove even a single accusation!
For all the accusations, insults, phone messages and incitement to insult and lynch against me and FRPD, on the eve of the World Day Against Hate Speech, today I sued Ms. Kokalari and I asked the court for compensation.
I will spend the compensation money grain by grain as a donation to the FRPD youth, through a training and educational module on hate speech, fake news and public lynching.
My social networks are open for communication with any of you. I do not limit comments on my Facebook page. I wish this was not seen as too liberal!
I will always adhere to the ethics of communication and will not discuss anyone’s lack of coherence, despite Ms. Kokalari may attempt to use in court her frequent public fluctuations to deny the written undeniable.
