The Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton has published a photo set on the occasion of her 40th birthday. The images realized by Paolo Rovers were inspired by portraits of members of the royal family in the past.
Kate released only three photos to pay tribute to Queen Elizabeth II and Queen Victoria. In the black and white photos, Kate chose to combine Alexander McQueen dresses with earrings from the Princess Diana collection.
Although her birthday is today, the portraits were made in November at Kew Gardens.
Kate Middleton will celebrate her birthday privately at home with her husband Prince William and three children George, Charlotte and Louis.
The Duchess has studied art history, so she chose the Italian photographer to realize the portrait as she adores his style. Rovers said the warmth, friendly reception of the Duchess and bright eyes reflected the beauty of her soul.
