Six people were arrested while another was prosecuted as part of the “Drug House” operation, where the two floors of an apartment adapted for cannabis cultivation were discovered, using lamps.
In the framework of this operation, the following citizens were arrested in flagrante delicto: Luan Sulaj 44 years old, Ylli Sulaj 47 years old, Xhevrie Sulaj 69 years old, Shqipe Sulaj 38 years old who are accused of the criminal offense “Cultivation of narcotic plants” committed in collaboration.
Two OSHEE employees were also arrested: Lutfi Basha, 45 years old, resident in Tirana, with billing duty at OSHEE, for the criminal offense “Abuse of duty” and Rifat Kuçi, resident in Tirana, with electricity duty at OSHEE- for the criminal offense “Abuse of duty”.
Also, the head of the village, citizen ZV, 56 years old, resident in Tirana, was prosecuted for the criminal offense “Failure to report a crime”.
During the control of the apartment of the citizen Xhevrie Sulaj on the second and third floor, the Police services identified premises adapted for the cultivation of narcotic plants by means of lamps. At the moment of the intervention by the Police services, the citizen Xhevrie Sulaj was found in the apartment.
From the verifications performed, it has resulted that the citizens Luan Sulaj, Ylli Sulaj and Shqipe Sulaj, in cooperation with each other, have adapted the apartment of the citizen Xhevrie Sulaj, to cultivate narcotic plants.
During the operation, 253 cannabis plants grown in pots, electric feeders, electric bulbs, coolers and 6 mobile devices were seized.
The materials were forwarded to the Prosecution at the Tirana Court of First Instance, for further action.
