In its 7th anniversary in Albania, the Estonian individual finance company, IuteCredit has unveiled many innovations and good news for new clients. This 7th anniversary is the culmination of a challenging and revolutionary journey in the individual credit market in Albania, of led by IuteCredit.
This journey is told to us by the CEO of the Estonian brand in Albania, Mr. Akan Ajdini.
How did IuteCredit Albania start?
Ajdini: The history of IuteCredit in Albania was the right answer at the right time for the needs of the Albanian consumer for lending. When I go back in time, I remember the first branch on Rr. of Durrës in Tirana, where in an area of about 30m2 were served customers, who often came disappointed by their relations with banks or other similar institutions.
Today IuteCredit is everywhere and everything in a very short time. How did it happen?
Ajdini: IuteCredit is deeply rooted in the customer experience. The process of lending itself is primarily a trust-building process, rather than a financial one. What we identified as the immediate need of the clients was the time of granting a loan along with the required documents. Thus, we initially ran the time by offering the credit approval standard in one hour, then in 10 minutes and now… only 7 minutes and no more. All this today with just an ID card. This I believe has been a strong point in building that trust and in turning IuteCredit into an institution that really gets the job done. Of course, our partnerships, which started with mobile and home appliance stores, are also a good basis. Currently, the IuteCredit network in Albania has over 200,000 clients and over 1000 partners, a real and vibrant human enterprise that turns wishes into concrete plans.
What is often asked in this industry, but also for IuteCredit is the source of income. So where does IuteCredit find the money?
Ajdini: Yes, this is a fair question which I always want to answer because it will consequently bring me back to the source not only of finances, but also of pride for the brand I am fortunate to lead, but also of my own. IuteCredit Albania is part of a network that started in Estonia, but currently extends to Albania, Bulgaria, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Northern Macedonia and Moldova, where we recently became part of the banking network with the acquisition of “Energbank”. This extension does not come without international validation or audit. During these 7 years, IuteCredit became a member of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange, bonds worth 75 million Euros were issued, the main source of funds being loans. This in itself was a culmination of the efforts and investments of thousands of professionals. As you can understand, not only the pockets but also the minds of the owners are not accepted on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange. This membership itself gave a big boost to our finances. Banks in Albania have also been an important supporter of financing together with other domestic investors who participated in the issuance of the domestic bond that has already matured. It is worth noting that IuteCredit does not take money from public deposits, we are not a Bank.
What awaits IuteCredit Albania next?
Ajdini: Run with time, always run with time.
The standard I mentioned earlier, namely loan approval in 7 minutes, we want to take it even further. In this 7th year we enable the granting of the first free loan, the MyIute application and many facilities in customer care, but what I consider the most sustainable development is the consolidation of trust by running with time, with the help of technology and digitalization. We are developing new financial services in order to provide an extraordinary experience. Our vision is to assist clients in purchasing absolutely everything on credit and we are getting closer every day to its materialization.
