Italy reported on Friday a second consecutive daily record of cases with COVID-19. According to the Italian Ministry of Health, this country registered 50,599 new cases of coronavirus on Friday.
The number of coronavirus-related deaths, according to the Italian Ministry of Health, fell to 141 deaths from 168 reported on Thursday, reports Reuters.
Italy has recorded 136,386 COVID-19-related deaths since the COVID-19 outbreak appeared in February last year making it the second highest number in Europe after Britain and the ninth highest in the world. Italy has reported a total of 5.57 million cases of COVID-19 to date.
