On the one hand the Russian army has surrounded Kiev with numerous military forces and seeks to occupy it, on the other hand Russian President Vladimir Putin calls on the Ukrainian army to take power and overthrow the government of Voloddemir Zelensky.

Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky seems to be opening a window for dialogue with Russia, as he says Europe and the United States are not helping Ukraine:
“I’m sure you all see the war, all of Europe. But we do not fully understand what you are going to do with it. How will you protect yourself when you are helping it so slowly in Ukraine? Europe has enough power to stop this aggression. What to expect from European countries?”
President Zelensky says Ukraine is left alone to fight Russia:
“Who is ready to fight alongside us? “I do not see anyone.”
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov is also in favor of talks, but on the condition that the Ukrainian army surrender.
He said the Russian military was freeing Ukraine from “oppression”:
““We are ready for negotiations at any moment, as soon as the Ukrainian armed forces respond to our call, stop the resistance and hand over their weapons.”.
