Police in Florida said yesterday that they had arrested a “highly intoxicated” woman who had rammed a fork into a minivan after an altercation behind a supermarket.
56-year-old Lisa Slone was seen trying to sell teddy bears in the parking lot of a Publix supermarket in Minneola.
But after complaints from supermarket staff she was arrested and taken to the Lake County Jail.
The manager told police the woman had earlier tried to steal teddy bears inside the supermarket, according to a Florida Highway Patrol report released to the media.
The complainants said that earlier the woman was seen walking with a pitchfork and a black whip in her hand.
She had used her pitchfork to attack a van earlier. But the owner of the vehicle did not want to get involved with the police and said he would pay for the damage himself.
After police arrived, Slone was ordered to drop her fork, but she refused and left.
The woman was then forcibly arrested and police said they had to hold her by the legs to stop her punching them and the window of the police vehicle.
When officers asked her about the marks and scratches on her face, Slone said she “didn’t feel any pain and that God had everything under control.”
The police wrote that the woman seemed under the influence of intoxicating substances but did not smell of alcoholic beverages.
Slone was registered with the police for assault with a deadly weapon, while as you can see, he was frowning in the official photo of the arrest, the American media wrote.
Slone’s first court appearance is set for Aug. 15.
Online records showed Slone had prior arrests in Florida for petty theft and parole violations.
