The latest figures from the Ministry of Health show that there are over 200 active cases of Covid-19 nationwide. 5 citizens are hospitalized.
Ursina Hajdini, family doctor: 225 active cases across the country, no doubt that may be related to the release of anticovid measures from 1 May. It’s a rising figure, which should be on everyone’s attention, as it could be an indication of the start of a new Covid-19 wave.
Only during this week in our health center 45 citizens were tested and only 4 patients tested positive with Covid.
The active cases we have had have been either unvaccinated patients or patients who have not passed Covidin naturally, or who have not taken the next dose of the vaccine, so this should be a call to all those patients, that now it is a very good time to get vaccinated as the numbers are still under control and contact with positive people may be less. It’s the right moment to come either to take the next dose or to get vaccinated for those who have not had any vaccinations so far.
Vaccination with the fourth dose for all endangered categories started last week in our center, ie for patients over 60 years old and every patient over 12 years old who has a problem with the immune system or is at risk of passing a severe form of Covid .
There may also be cases of patients, who after spending so much time pandemic, already even if they test positive Covid, perform the test privately and choose to treat themselves at home. But we do not advise this and recommend that they consult a doctor, both to monitor the entire course of the disease and to determine the treatment.
