The trade of pyrotechnics, especially fireworks, will be controlled at customs and up to points of sale, police announced today.
The General Director of the State Police has asked all local police structures to take measures to implement laws and bylaws, to prevent violations and various events on the eve of the end of the year holidays, as well as the implementation of some additional tasks , which consist of:
Increasing controls every day, to verify the activity of licensed entities and units that trade fireworks, if they trade them according to the definitions “Permitted and prohibited items”;
Increasing the quality of controls, in cooperation with other responsible institutions, mainly with the State Export Control Authority (AKSHE), for the storage and trade of pyrotechnics and fireworks, in order to prevent violations and events with serious consequences for life and health, as well as for apprehending and bringing to justice persons who violate the rules of storage and trade of pyrotechnics and fireworks;
In coordinating actions between assistants / specialists of Community Policing / SPZ, General Patrols, Criminal Police, with local government and other law enforcement agencies, in order to prevent, identify and timely crack down on any illegality that occurs in the territory and that violates order and safety of life and property of citizens.
Local Police structures, in cooperation with the Fire and Rescue Service (MDA), will develop joint inspection and surprise control plans in all licensed entities for storage, trade and use of pyrotechnics and fireworks.
