Former MP Alqi Bllako appeared before the Special Court of Appeals today after requesting a change of the security measure from imprisonment to a lighter measure.
Sources inform ‘Top Channel’ that the GJKKO Appeal has left the measure unchanged for the former MP, leaving him in prison.
The former official’s appeal was filed through his lawyer who opposes the measure of special judge Irena Gjoka. The case has been heard behind closed doors, with Blako insisting it is not dangerous and is available for justice.
Bllako is charged with criminal offenses of abuse of office and passive corruption of senior state officials or local elected officials.
The document states that at the time when he served as Secretary General of the Ministry of Environment, in cooperation with other persons, he committed deliberate illegal actions during the expropriation procedure in the construction of the incinerator in Fier, causing damage to great.
