Fatos Hoxha has been elected chairman of the Democratic Party in the Mirdita branch.
After counting the ballots, between the 2 candidacies, the chairman of the Democratic Party was announced, Mr. Fatos Hoxha with 56.6% of the votes.
He won against Shaqir Manjani with a difference of 116 votes.
Fatos Hoxha: 558 votes
Shaqir Manjani: 442 votes
Invalid: 8
Out of 2200 voters who were on the list, 887 voted.
The elections in Mirdita were accompanied by tensions, after the postponement from Sunday that was planned. Some of the old members of the DP did not have their names on the lists and this led to clashes at the polling station.
