Roger Federer has been suffering from a knee injury for 12 months which prevents him from participating in the most important tennis competitions.
“I am a person who loves victory, but when you are no longer competitive then it is good to stop. I think I don’t need tennis anymore. Now I am happy when my little boy or girl gets a good grade in school. Tennis is a part of me, but it no longer defines me. I want to remain successful and have put a lot of energy into the business world.
I know that a pro career can’t last forever and that’s okay. It was strange watching Wimbledon from home, having been part of the tournament since 1998. Sometimes I miss traveling the world as an athlete, but let’s just say life at home isn’t bad either.” said the 40-year-old./ SuperSport
