The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, has given an interview recently to ‘The Economist’ where he discussed the topic of aid that Western countries are giving to Ukraine.
He has sharply criticized French President Emmanuel Macron for failing to provide aid to Ukraine and said the reason for this failure is proximity to Russia. He said France feared Russia would help Ukraine.
On the other hand he calls Boris Johnson very close to Ukraine and states that he has always been inclined to send weapons.
“Yes. To be honest, Johnson is a leader who is helping more. Country leaders react according to the way their constituents act. In this case, Johnson is an example. Britain is definitely on our side. It is not performing a balancing act. “Britain sees no alternative.– said Zelenskyy
Regarding Germany, Zelenskyy said that he sees them balanced as they have a long and close relationship with Russia and see the situation through the prism of the economy.
“I think they are trying to adapt to the situation. They are also looking at how the situation affects their country. “They can help us, but when they see that there is pressure inside the country, they can stop the aid.” tha Zelenskyy.
