The development of a strategy for the improvement of the public investment monitoring system as a whole, including concessions, is identified as one of the priorities of Finance for the medium term.
It includes setting up and completing a comprehensive database of concession contracts, developing a methodology based on clear criteria for these projects, and compiling comprehensive reports on these contracts as well as public investment as a whole.
This year, it is foreseen to activate 6 new concession contracts with a value of about 194 billion ALL, about 1.5 billion euros. They include the construction of the Milot-Fier road, the project for the Vlora Triport, the construction of the Saranda airport, the concession for increasing road safety and two other contracts for the provision of public infrastructure service and the improvement of some residential blocks in Elbasan. .
