As the country faces a new wave of the COVID-19 pandemic outbreak, maintenance of the measures in force and their full observance was demanded. Meanwhile, health institutions are working intensively to increase capacity, provide medicines and increase the number of medical staff.
Municipal staffs, police, KVFA and Inspectorates were asked to increase their commitment to the prevention, management and control of COVID-19 infection and at the same time to strictly adhere to the measures in force.
Also, all citizens were asked to respect the physical distance, to use masks, to disinfect and ventilate the premises, preventing the eventual spread of infection and avoiding the spread in enclosed spaces.
Regarding the supply of vaccines, during this month is expected to reach the first contingent of 33 thousand doses of COVAX vaccine. From this mechanism Kosovo will benefit 100 thousand 800 doses of anti-COVID-19 vaccine, while intensive negotiations are underway with other manufacturers to ensure the necessary number of vaccines in order to fully immunize the population.
