The price of construction material has also increased in Kosovo.
This increase was observed since the beginning of the war in Ukraine, but intensified even more, especially two weeks ago. Currently, the price of builder iron reaches up to 1250 euros per ton.
The increase in the price of construction material is expected to increase the price of real estate by at least 100 to 200 euros more per square meter.
While this increase has been made, suspicions have been raised that there is price abuse. However, the Market Inspectorate operating within the Ministry of Trade, Entrepreneurship and Industry, say that so far they have not encountered any violations.
In addition to construction iron, there has been an increase in cement, blocks and other construction materials that Kosovo imports.
